What we believe
1. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
a) We believe that the Holy Bible is a supernatural Book; that it is the very God-breathed Word; that it is the full, the final, and the complete revelation of God's will to man; that it has God the Holy Spirit for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any admixture of error for its matter; that it was written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit; that it is verbally and plenary inspired and a perfect treasure of holy instruction; and that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us, and is, therefore, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.
b) We believe the King James Version to be the preserved Word of God for the English speaking people, faithful and true to the original autographs (Textus Receptus & Masoretic); that other versions are inferior and flawed, with most being outright intentional perversions of God's Word; that other English versions are totally unnecessary, as the King James is not only faithful, but an absolutely effective conveyance of God's message to English speaking mankind. We believe that the King James Bible does not just contain the Word of God but is the very Word of God for English speaking peoples.
c) We believe that the King James Bible should be used in all English preaching services, in the Sunday School, in all English Christian literature and publications, in all memory work, and in all other places except in the case of showing errors of the other versions; that all the verses in the King James Bible belong in the Old and the New Testaments because they represent words that were in the original Texts; and that, though there might be other renderings from the original languages which could also be acceptable to us today, for an exhaustive study of any of the words or verses in the Bible, the student should return directly to the Traditional Masoretic Hebrew Text and the Traditional Received Greek Text rather than to any other translation for help. We do believe that the King James Bible is without error and that no other rendering could "better" convey the word of God than it does now. We believe that all officers and workers in our church and mission endeavors that we support must adhere to this position and only use the KJV in preaching, teaching, and study except in the case to prove errors to others found in the other English versions.
d) We believe that the books known as the Apocrypha are not the inspired Word of God in any sense whatsoever. (Ps. 119:89; II Tim. 3:16-17; Rev. 22:18-19; Jn. 17:17; Jn. 3;32-34; II Pet.1:20-21; I Pet.1:10-12; Zeph. 1:1; Ps. 19:7-11; Ex. 20:3-17; Ps. 1:2; Jn. 12:48)
(*We will not hold to nor endorse close fellowship with churches that do not stand on the Textus Receptus of the New Testament and the Masoretic text of the Old Testament. This means we will be kind to but separate from those churches that use any English version other than the KJV. We expect all the missionaries that we support to also adhere to this standard)
2. THE GODHEAD
We believe in one, triune God, eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Co-eternal in being; co-identical in nature; co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfection's. (Dueteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
3. THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. We believe He became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
(John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross, as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
(Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right-hand of God, where as our High Priest He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. (Acts 1:9-l0; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2).
4. THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; that is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration. We believe He baptizes all believers into the Body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them until the day of redemption. (John 16:8-11; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9).
We believe He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers to all truth; that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit. (John 16:13; Ephesians 5:18).
5. THE TOTAL DEPRAVITY OF MAN.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; that man is totally depraved, and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:1-2, 12).
6. SALVATION
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. (Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19).
7. THE ETERNAL SECURITY AND ASSURANCE OF BELIEVERS
We believe that all redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power, and are thus secure forever, in Christ. (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38-39).
We believe it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's Word. However we also believe that the Scriptures clearly forbid the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to indulge in the fleshly nature. (1 Corinthians 1:4-8; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11-15).
8. THE TWO NATURES OF THE BELIEVER
We believe that every saved person possesses two natures, with provision made for victory of the new nature over the old nature through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit; that all claims to the eradication of the old nature in this life are unscriptural. (Romans 6:13; 8:12-13; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 John 3:5-9).
9. SEPARATION
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner not to bring reproach upon their Saviour and Lord; that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God.
(2 Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1-2; 14:13; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 Corinthians 6:14-17).
10. MISSIONS
We believe that the saved are obligated to witness by life by word to the truths of Holy Scripture, and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all mankind. (Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20).
11. THE MINISTRY AND SPIRITUAL GIFTS
We believe that God is sovereign in the endowment of all gifts, and that the gifts of evangelists, pastors, and teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today; that speaking in tongues (a known language - unknown by the speaker), and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament scriptures were completed and their authority became established. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:7-12).
We believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith in accord with His own will, for the sick and afflicted. There is no warrant, however, in the scriptures for the contention that God must and will grant physical healing to every prayer of faith. (James 5:14-16; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10; 2 Timothy 4:20).
12. THE CHURCH, UNIVERSAL AND LOCAL
We believe that the universal church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism, made up of all born-again persons of this present age. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2).
We believe the local church is an assembly of born-again, baptized believers, united in organization to:
(1) practice the New Testament ordinances: The Lord's Table (Communion), and Baptism by immersion;
(2) to meet gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and a united testimony;
(3) to actively engage in carrying out the Great Commission. (Acts 2:4-42; 1 Corinthians 11:2).
13. DISPENSATIONALISM
We believe in the dispensational view evident in the Bible, but reject the extreme teaching known as hyper-dispensationalism. (Ephesians 2:7; 3:4-5).
14. The PERSONALITY OF SATAN
We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin, and cause of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire. (Job 1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12-17; Matthew 4:2-11; 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
15. THE ETERNAL STATE
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men; the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting separation from God. (Matthew 25:41-46).
We believe that the souls of the saved are, at death, sent from the body and present with the Lord where, in conscious bliss, they await the resurrection when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord. (Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23).
16. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in the "Blessed Hope", the personal, imminent, pre-tribulational and pre-millennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; in His subsequent return to the earth with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-6).
17. POSITION AND PRACTICE
We believe it is important to identify ourselves as being: fundamental, dispensational, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial, soulwinning, separated, independent (or specifically, non-aligned with any particular group or association), adhering to historic Baptist distinctives. We also believe it is important to identify ourselves as not being: liberal, neo-orthodox, neo-evangelical, charasmatic, hyper-Calvinistic, or covenantal in theology.
